Blog Assignment 3 - Politiacal Globalization / Han Seung Min

Political Globalization

Summary

Political globalization means the growth of the world's political system. Such growth plans include both scale and complexity. The system includes government-independent elements of the global civil society, such as international NGOs and social movements, as well as national governments, their governments and intergovernmental organizations. One of the key aspects of political globalization is the decreasing importance of a nation's state and the emergence of others on the political scene. For example, the creation and existence of the United Nations have been called one of the typical examples of political globalization.

Political globalization is one of the three most common elements of globalization in academic literature, and the other two things we post on blogs are economic globalization and cultural globalization.

In other words, political globalization is an extension of the world's political system. And they can be defined as managing cross-regional transactions. Political globalization can increase their activities and influence, with the emergence of transnationalism, and the emergence of countries and international NGOs that serve as government watchdogs. This phenomenon is the strengthening and expansion of political bilateral relations around the world. Finally, political globalization is the interaction of the complex areas of global politics in a global society, and this phenomenon will continue and expand.

Interesting Things

What's interesting is, before I learned this lecture, I didn't know what political globalization was. Political globalization is something we are already familiar with. Political globalization affects our country and the world.

It led to a situation where people interacted with each other no matter where they live. The emergence of such a U.N.-like organization thinks world politics is being unified through political globalization, and the interests of countries are increasingly united. I believe that the side effects of this political globalization can tarnish the color of the country, and that such a mechanism of political globalization can be controlled by a great power.

Discussion point

After reading this article, we learned that political globalization may be of much use to us, but it also has a counterproductive effect. Currently, countries all over the world rely on organizations like the United Nations, but this may not represent every nation. Therefore, as a public representative, these political organizations cannot represent the views of all countries. It is a prudent issue in that each nation's culture has a direct impact on the other. What should this political globalization do to keep political neutrality?
