Blog assignment 2 - Cultural Globalization / So Hee Heo

1. summary

Globalization can first be defined as a complex and accelerated integration process of global connectivity. Globalization is a rapidly evolving and ever-tight network of interconnections and interdependencies that characterize modern life. The world now thinks about the problems of the Earth and enjoys various cultures. The most important factor in the world's connected areas is the economic zone, which is essential for global connectivity. It controls the imagination and language of various businesses, politics, and activists in the enterprise. A common assumption about the globalization process will lead to a single global culture. In the past, social and economic processes and practices could be understood locally and relatively independently, but globalization has made the world a single place. But this does not mean that it is economically or politically unified. Globalization is a unified concept and not a unified process. This is because even third world countries such as Africa do not fit in with advanced countries. We must recognize that globalization is an uneven process.
As globalization progresses, we generally assume that culture will be global integration. In particular, the more connected, the more globalized the economic sector is, the more globalized it is. However, this is not a good guess. We can't say that the impact of globalization affects the whole planet. So we have to note that the process of globalization does not appear evenly. Most critics worry that globalization will likely dominate global culture due to products from multinational companies such as McDonald's, Coca-Cola and Marlborg. However, it is dangerous to regard simple cultural products as cultural products. Cultural goods alone cannot discuss the value of the culture itself.
The concept of culture implicitly links meaning building into specialities, locations and territories. There has been an implicit assumption that culture is a very limited reality in space and has achieved limited integration and parallelism. However, the poor connectivity of heavy fire threatens to undermine this concept. De-zeroing is often shown in our everyday lives. For example, we buy various things around the world at the local market, and watch American dramas sitting in the living room. These minor changes dig deep into our individual culture.

2. Interesting Points

I learned that the things that can enjoy a lot with globalization of culture are not always good in terms of globalization of culture. Also, globalization seems to have made it hard to admit that it is one of the great problems of the world dominated by developed countries, not by the world taking the same steps.

3. Discussion

I would like to learn more about what our country has gained and lost from globalization.
