Summary
What is globalization? There is no accepted definition of
globalization, but the author, after gathering many scholars' research, gives a
definition that can be accepted by everyone. Globalization is a concept as well
as a phenomenon process of human social development. Global connections are
growing, human beings are living on a global scale and global consciousness is
rising. Countries depend on each other in politics, economy and trade.
Globalization can also be interpreted as world compression and global
integration. Since the 1990s, with the expansion of the influence of
globalization on human society, attention has been paid to politics, education,
society, culture and other disciplines in various countries and research fever
has been aroused. For example, globalization is a double-edged sword for local
culture. Although globalization can greatly promote the innovation and
development of local culture, it will gradually blur and lose the connotation
and self-renewal ability of local culture. From the examples given by the
author, we can easily recognize the use of the term globalization, which was
originally very independent, but has gradually merged. In the process of
globalization, communication around the world is undoubtedly crucial, that is,
social interaction is crucial. After the form, dimension and history of
globalization, it is concluded that globalization has two major directional
trends, namely, global connectivity and global growth awareness. Globalization
has a special form. Globalization is made up of four major aspects of human
life: culture, society, politics and economy.
2. New, interesting or unusual
The advantages and disadvantages of
globalization are a point of great interest to me. Although the article did not
give a detailed explanation. The information I have found and the knowledge I
have learned before can be summarized as follows: the advantage of
globalization is that it can make full use of foreign capital and promote
economic growth. The entry of capital brings practical technology, managerial
experience and entrepreneurial spirit, which is conducive to the economic
transformation of non-market economy countries. The entry of foreign capital
helps to solve the problem of surplus labor employment in developing countries.
Economic globalization promotes the perfection of financial markets in
developing countries, and is conducive to the monetization and financial
deepening of developing countries. The disadvantage is that the entry of large
amounts of foreign capital is easy to cause debt burden, may cause the
international debt crisis. The entry of foreign capital has a great impact on
national capital and industry. Economic globalization has made the
contradiction between ecological environment and sustainable development in
developing countries increasingly acute. The economic transformation of
developing countries under the background of economic globalization is full of
turbulence and ups and downs. Economic globalization has accelerated the
imbalance of economic development between developing countries and developed
countries.

Question
What else can you think of about the pros and cons of
globalization?
I think Globalization can result a good global citizenship identity. Becoming a global citizen means we recognize that we have a lot of bigger responsibilities rather than becoming a part of certain nation citizen. Like the responsibility to defend our country, we are also responsible to defend the human race as a whole. If everyone consider themselves as a global citizen, a lot of global issues will be solve a lot faster.
