Blog assignment1 - what is globalization?/ kim hyun young

what is globalization?
Globalization involves many meanings and many different things.
Globalization can be explained in many ways in culture, politics, and economics.
In terms of culture, there are ways of thinking and actions that are passed on among countries. For example, Westernization is the process of adopting or accepting Western culture. Specifically, Japan adopted various Western cultures during the Meiji Restoration. Globalization contributes to further convergence and integration of the unique cultures of each country. For example, as food, soda and pasta became international food.
It also began to interact internationally in the 13th century. To facilitate this globalization, transportation and communication have developed.
I learned about MODERNIZATION during class, which explains that globalization is inevitable. In other words, MODERNIZATION emphasizes accepting globalization to people.
Opinions on globalization vary. It can be good or bad. A bad example is inequality. There are different countries where things like jobs are developed because they are biased toward a particular country. But a good example is, because of international trade, countries can develop their own countries by importing things they need to meet their own preferences.

interesting
I thought globalization was a good thing, of course, but it wasn't necessarily a good thing because I thought that the unique cultures of each country might gradually disappear from class. Instead of recognizing and defending their own culture and accepting other countries' cultures unconditionally, we should carefully develop them into new cultures based on their good and bad points.

disscussion
The world has been going on in the hegemony of the United States since the 20th century. But now I think that all countries, not the United States, are at the center of globalization. In this regard, I think we need to think about how the diplomatic positions of the countries will proceed.
